INGREDIENTS
1/8 tsp. salt
2 oz. butter
7 1/2 oz. dark brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 oz. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
DIRECTIONS
Combine butter and brown sugar in a sauce pan and heat
until bubbled
Set aside to cool.
Preheat over to 350 degrees
Line the bottom and sides of 8" square cake tin with
greaseproof paper
Beat eggs, and vanilla into cooled sugar mixture
Sift over flour, salt, and nutmeg and fold into mixture
Spread on bottom of the cake tin
FOR TOPPING
2 oz. walnuts finely chopped
3 1/2 oz. powdered sugar
1 tbs. of honey
1 egg white
Beat egg white with salt until it holds soft peaks
Beat in honey, sugar, and continue beating until mixture
begins to peak
Fold in nuts and spread on top
Bake for 30 mins.
After cooling, cut into bars and serve
