| apple strudel and cider sauce |

INGREDIENTS
8 crisp apples
1 tbs. lemon juice
2/3 cup of golden raisins
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg
2 tbs. brown sugar
6 sheets of Filo Pastry ( defrosted if frozen)
vegetable oil spray
( For Sauce)
1 tbs. corn starch
2 cups hard cider
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment paper
Peel and core the apples ( slice or dice them) whichever is preferred
toss apples in a bowl with raisins, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar
Lay out sheet of filo pastry and spray with vegetable oil
Lay second sheet on top, spray again, and add 3rd sheet
Spread over HALF of the apple mixture length wise
Roll up, tucking the ends, to enclose the filling
Repeat process for the second strudel
Slide strudels on a baking sheet and bake for 20 mins.
To make sauce blend in a sauce pan, cornstarch with a little bit of cider until smooth
Add remaining cider and heat until mixture boils and thickens
Serve strudel warm or cold with cider sauce added. Sugar can be sifted on top of strudel for that added touch
